Prof. Tyoor Fredrick McFadden Terhemba is an accomplished academic and seasoned professional specializing in Security and Strategic Studies, Gender and Human Security, International Relations, and Corporate Governance. Currently serving as Professor of Gender and Security Studies and Director of the African Centre for Advanced Studies on Gender and Security, he holds multiple advanced degrees including a Ph.D. in Security and Strategic Studies, M.A. in International Relations, and dual M.Sc. degrees in Law and Corporate Governance plus Gender and Security Studies.

With extensive expertise in threat analysis, risk assessment, and security sector reforms, Prof. Tyoor has contributed significantly to strategic security and gender inclusion policies through collaborations with ECOWAS, USAID, UN Women, and other international organizations. His career bridges academia, policy development, and security administration with notable leadership roles across multiple institutions.
