Professor & Director, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB) Graduate School of International Studies

Dr. Mamadou L. Bah is a distinguished scholar, researcher, and educator who currently serves as an Assistant Professor and Director of the Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB) Graduate School of International Studies at the University of Liberia. In addition to his directorial responsibilities, he plays a vital role as the Thesis Co-Chair, providing mentorship and academic guidance to graduate students in their research endeavors.

Dr. Bah holds both a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree from Wuhan University, specializing in International Relations with a focus on Neo-Cold War Studies. His doctoral dissertation, Globalization and the Neo-Cold War: A Critical Analysis of Conflict, Polarity & International Order, provides an in-depth examination of global power structures and their implications for international stability.

Before pursuing his doctoral studies, Dr. Bah earned a Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Liberia and graduated as the first minor in Chinese Studies at the University of Liberia in 2012. His academic journey also includes time at Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, North Carolina, where he earned associate credits while competing as an NCAA Division I soccer athlete.

Dr. Bah has further expanded his academic expertise with scholarly certifications from the Pan African Doctoral Academy (PADA) at the University of Ghana, underscoring his commitment to continuous learning and academic excellence.
