The University of Liberia (UL) has kicked off the 100th Centennial activities in grand style beginning with the traditional Arts and Craft Exhibition at the David A. Straz-Sinje campus in Grand Cape Mount County.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The event was colorful and showcased numerous artworks created by students and faculty members in the University\u2019s Department of Arts and Craft. It also witnessed the gowning and honoring of four traditional chiefs and elders whose donation of land totaling 1000 acres provided the space for the now David A. Straz Jr.-Sinje Technical & Vocational College.<\/p>\n

During the program, a special tribute was paid to the late Ambassador David A. Straz Jr., the American philanthropist and millionaire, who generously donated US$1.5 million dollars of his personal money for the reconstruction and refurbishment of the college.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the University\u2019s \u201cAll-in-One\u201d main commencement convocation has been re-adjusted back to Wednesday, 11 December 2019. The University sincerely regrets this re-adjustment and any inconvenience it may have caused. This change was necessitated, the UL says, due to many factors including the need to accommodate travel itinerary and attendance of national and international guests invited to the commencement.<\/strong><\/p>\n
