Montserrado County Electoral District #1 Representative Hon. Lawrence Morris has donated a desktop computer and eight pieces of wall fans to be installed in the classrooms at the Euphemia K. Abdullai Elementary Demonstration School on University of Liberia\u2019s Fendall Campus in Louisiana. <\/span><\/p>\n

Rep. Morris made the donation recently as an intervention to address the problem of heat in the classrooms as the dry season approaches, while the desktop computer is meant to help with administrative work at the elementary school.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThis is just an additional donation, because we will still come to do what we can to help our children because they are the future for the country,\u201d said Rep. Morris during the presentation ceremony.<\/span><\/p>\n

He said prior to the donation of the desktop computer and the wall fans, he has also made other donations to the school. Rep. Morris said he is impressed by what is happening at the school that \u201cwe started.\u201d The Montserrado lawmaker applauded Dr. Cecelia Cassell, Dean of the William V.S. Tubman Teachers College, University of Liberia, for being the bone behind the school. According to Rep. Morris, the classes are modern, and the school is one of the best elementary schools that he has ever visited.<\/span><\/p>\n

Housed in the University of Liberia\u2019s dormitory on Fendall Campus, the early childhood pilot project, Euphemia K. Abdullai Elementary Demonstration School, is being run under the William V.S. Tubman Teachers College as a pilot program for students to practice what they learn in the classroom.<\/span><\/p>\n

The demonstration school is named in honor of Dr. Cassell\u2019s predecessor, Madam Euphemia K. Abdullai, former Dean of the William V.S. Tubman Teachers College, University of Liberia.<\/span><\/p>\n

Through a project undertaken by the Teachers College\u2019s senior class of 2017\/2018 academic year, the University of Liberia established the early childhood pilot demonstration school on Fendall Campus.  <\/span><\/p>\n

Receiving the donation, Dr. Cecelia Cassell, Dean of the William V.S. Tubman Teachers College, University of Liberia, said she is very happy about Rep. Morris\u2019 intervention at the elementary school.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Cassell explained that the donation of the fans will address the issue of heat in the classrooms during the dry season. According to her, the classrooms are small, adding that there are 25 students in each. <\/span><\/p>\n
