The University of Liberia announces with the deepest regret the sad passing of the President of the UL Board of Trustees, Dr. Dominic Nmah Tarpeh, who served the UL Board of Trustees with distinction, dedication and commitment from 2006 until his death.<\/p>\n
From 1987 to 1990, Dr. Tarpeh also served as Vice President for Administration, University of Liberia. In that capacity, he was responsible for the supervision and coordination of administrative support services, including student affairs and advisory services, personnel, transportation, procurement and general services.<\/p>\n
The news of Dr. Tarpeh\u2019s death was first disclosed to the University family by UL President Dr. Ophelia Inez Weeks on December 6, 2018 in a communication, saying, \u201cIt is with a very heavy heart and deep sorrow that I write to inform you about the death of our dedicated and committed Chair\/President of the UL Board of Trustees, Dr. Dominic N. Tarpeh.\u00a0 He died last night at around 9 P.M. May his soul rest in peace.\u201d<\/p>\n
The following arrangements in honor of the late President of the UL Board of Trustees are as follows:<\/p>\n
On Thursday, December 13<\/strong>, a Book of<\/strong> Condolence<\/strong> will be opened on the Capitol Hill campus in conference room, where the UL Board meetings are regularly held.<\/p>\n On Saturday, December 15<\/strong>, his body will be removed from the Stryker Funeral Home at 8 A.M. Later, on that same morning, the body will be conveyed to the University of Liberia at 9:30 A.M. for the traditional one-hour vigil in the UL Auditorium and will subsequently be taken to the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Stella Maris Compound, for a one-hour songsperation<\/em><\/strong> and tributes followed by a Requiem Mass for burial. Burial follows at the Kaiser Memorial Cemetery in Brewerville, Montserrado County, Liberia.<\/p>\n He will be missed by all at the University of Liberia and by all who knew him.
