Jesse Mongrue is a noted author and policy scholar on U.S./Liberia’s relations. He has written an account that depicts the cultural, social, and political connections between the two countries. His second and most recent book addresses the success stories of civil society, good governance, and democratic reform in Africa. Jesse is also a doctoral candidate in Organization Development at the University of Saint Thomas, Minnesota. As a scholar-practitioner, he has done a number of interventions in organizations including a five-year strategic plan for the Liberian Business Association, developed a SWOT Analysis for the New American Alliance for Development and consulted at Mount Holyoke College in Western Massachusetts. Jesse has also done several professional development presentations at universities and communities such as Hamline University, Mankato State University, the Liberian Community and other organizations in Minnesota. He is originally from Liberia and currently resides in the City of Vadnais Heights, a suburb of Saint Paul, Minnesota along with his wife and four children.
