UL to Launch Master’s Degree in Clinical Research

The University of Liberia’s College of Health Sciences, in collaboration with the University  of California, San Francisco,  will launch a master’s degree in Clinical Research program on November 6, 2019 at 10 a.m. This program will be held at the auditorium of the A. M. Dogliotti College of Medicine, adjacent the St. Joseph’s Catholic Hospital.

The 2014-2016 Ebola epidemics highlighted the need for health care infrastructure and human resources in Liberia. To address this need, the University of Liberia and the University of California, San Francisco, funded by the U.S. National Institutes of Health are offering a training program to: train selected Liberians in clinical/epidemiological research by enrolling them into the UCSF Master’s in Clinical Research (MCR) program; support graduated trainees to pursue their research careers in Liberia, and to begin teaching others; and promote research on infectious diseases and advance collaborative research.
