Our Vision

Our vision is to build and maintain an innovative, reliable, dynamic, secure, and efficient IT environment that enables, maintains, promotes, and supports teaching, learning, research, business, and administrative operations at the University of Liberia, leveraging innovative and emerging technologies.

Our Mission

The Mission of the Office of Information Technology (OIT) is to align Information Technology with the University’s Strategic Plan, in particular, its academic mission, administrative and business operations.

Network Topology

  • Four Campuses with different buildings

A Central router (Should be used) to send/receive all packets to other routers located at various campuses 

Separate router for each campus 

Each router connects to a switch (Core, Distributions and Access) 

Backup servers and power solutions 


Current Network Hierarchy

• A firewall device is (supposed) to be available to ensure security within the network
• Wi-fi connectivity is available on all campuses
• Internet is being provided to our central router by LIBTELCO
• Users can access the network via access switches.

he total number of cable drops needed on the Capitol Hill campus is (203)

• The total number of cable drops at the College of Health Sciences is (37)

• Total cable drops on the Fendall campus are (458).

• Total cable drops on the Sinje Campus are (70).
