  1. Job Title: Quality Assurance Officer (4 Positions – Capitol Hill Campus,
    Fendall Campus, College of Health Sciences Campus and Straz-Sinje Campus)

Responsible to: Executive Director for UL Quality Assurance

Supervisory responsibility: None

Major Duties

The Role
To work closely with the Deputy Director for Quality Assurance and Deans, Chairpersons, and other academic leaders to manage academic quality assurance and enhancement activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. To coordinate the planning and implementation of a range of Quality Assurance activities relating to quality assurance and enhancement on the assigned UL campus of assignment.
  2. To support the campus in monitoring teaching, learning, assessment, curriculum development, and research.
  3. To support the Campus in student engagement agendas and in relation to quality assurance and enhancement.
  4. To represent the Quality Assurance Executive Director and Deputy Director of Assurance as and when necessary.
  5. To undertake other duties as required by the Executive Director of AQAU and the President of the University of Liberia.

Requirements/Competencies

EDUCATION:
Master’s degree in Education, Public Administration, Public Policy or equivalent experience. Experience in Project Management is an asset. The candidate must hold a minimum academic rank of Instructor (Assistant Professor is an advantage).

EXPERIENCE:

  1. Significant knowledge of the post-secondary education sector in Liberia and regionally.
  2. In-depth knowledge of the University academic and support units as they pertain to cross-functional initiatives.
  3. Good understanding of quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis.
  4. Minimum three (3) years in a senior administrative support position.
  5. Experience with technical writing; exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with diverse audiences (administrators, faculty, students).
  6. Strong organizational skills, including time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and work within stringent internal and external deadlines.
  7. Superior interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
  8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively on multiple projects with guidance from multiple supervisors.
  9. Ability to think strategically, critically and analytically, and make appropriate decisions

Job Title: Statistician /Data Analyst (1Position – Fendall Campus)
Responsible to: Executive Director and Deputy Director for Academic Quality Assurance

Supervisory responsibility: None Major Duties:

The Role:
To work closely with the Deputy Director for Quality Assurance. Shall Develop or apply mathematical or statistical theory and methods to collect, organize, interpret, and summarize numerical data to provide usable information. Analyze and interpret data to help the QA Office with important decisions, problems, and logistical scenarios.

Key Responsibilities:
Collect internal data from various departments
Consolidate numerical data into databases
Use statistical software to perform an analysis of the numbers.

Apply various calculations and formulas to analyze and interpret the data, ensuring the data and calculations are accurate.

Interpret the results to find trends and information that’s useful for University of Liberia’s decision-making, present the data and statistical findings to the organization’s executive team.

Requirements/Competencies

EDUCATION:
A Bachelor’s degree in statistics, applied math, computer science or a related field.

Job Title: Research Assistant (1 position Fendall)
Responsible to: Executive Director Supervisory responsibility: None Reports to:

Major Duties The Role
To work closely with the Deputy Director for Quality Assurance. Brainstorm and research topics and use initial guidance to find relevant resources.
Maintain quality controls standards to preserve the integrity of data and findings, scheduling and conducting interviews.
Plan surveys and data collection.

Key Responsibilities
Arrange venues to conduct interviews, surveys, and other qualitative research and obtain permission from all participants.

Collect data from primary and secondary sources, record and analyze data. Analyze data using various statistical methods. Interpret data analysis results and draw inferences and conclusions and present research results.

Use research results to write reports, papers and reviews, summarize data and the implications of the results and present findings in journals and forums.

Prepare research proposals and submit funding applications.

Collaborate with QA officers, education stakeholders and government agencies.

Requirements/Competencies EDUCATION:
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in education, economics, business or a similar field.
Be familiar with various research techniques including qualitative research methodologies
Possess exceptional communication skills, analytical, problem-solving skills and time management skills.
Have the ability to stay calm under pressure and the ability to empathize with others.

Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Major Duties

The Role
To work with the Executive Director for Quality Assurance and other staff in the department and provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the QA office.

Supports the Quality Director and Deputy Director through a variety of tasks related to administration, organization and communication.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the QA office. Provide polite and professional communication, provide general support to visitors, implement clerical duties and administrative processes. Develop and update administrative systems to make them more efficient, take accurate minutes of meetings and handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.

Ability to effectively communicate via phone and email, ensuring that all Administrative Assistant duties are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner. May direct and lead the work of others. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, and a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Organize and schedule appointments and meetings. Carry out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning, and maintain professional contact lists.

Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, and forms, Develop and maintain a computerized and manual filing system. Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports,

Research and create presentations, generate reports, handle multiple projects

Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories, evaluating new equipment and techniques. photocopy and print out documents on behalf of other colleagues in the department.

Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies

Major Duties The Role
To work closely with the Deputy Director for Quality Assurance.
Administer survey questionnaires or collect information using digital or paper collection modes that are designed to capture information/data around a research, evaluation question(s), or other information.

Key Responsibilities
Adhere to predefined procedures and protocols for data gathering, including verification of information and resolving data discrepancies.
Ensure the confidentiality and privacy of all data collected. Make sure it adheres to privacy standards and regulations. Maintain confidentiality and privacy of all information collected.
Address any inquiries or concerns raised by individuals regarding the data collection process, providing clear and accurate responses.
Provide accurate and timely updates to supervisors regarding progress and any issues encountered during data collection.
Use electronic devices to record and transmit data accurately and securely.
Respond to questions and concerns from individuals regarding the data collection process.

Requirements/Competencies EDUCATION
College degree in any area of a social science.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures and protocols
Comfortable working independently and managing time effectively Ability to use electronic devices for data collection and transmission Comfortable working in a variety of settings, including public spaces.
