Testing Center Holds Two-Day workshop for Examiners
UL Relations, Monrovia, Liberia, May 1, 2018– University of Liberia 2018 Entrance and Placement Examination Committee has ended a two-day testing and evaluation workshop for more than one thousand faculty and staff members who are poised to conduct exam on May 5, 2018.
The workshop was organized by the UL Testing and Evaluation Center on April 27 and 28, 2018 respectively, to teach basic testing and evaluation techniques to selected testing coordinators, supervisors, examiners and proctors expected to invigilate in the administration of the entrance exam.
According to the 2018 Examination Committee, more than eight thousand candidates across the country registered to sit the exam on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at various centers in Montserrado and Grand Cape Mount Counties.
Dr. Peter Humphrey, head of the UL 2018 Entrance Committee told participants at the workshop to uphold and maintain the highest level of integrity and professionalism during the conduct of these exams. “Your preferment to serve as coordinators, supervisors, examiners and proctors highly demonstrates the confidence the university reposes in you to bring more credibility to the process. So we expect that you will place the interest of the university above all other interests and avoid acts that will ultimately undermine the smooth conduct of the exams,” he urged.
Dr. Humphrey further cautioned individuals who are not faculty and staff and in the employ of the University to stay away from the process, noting, “No graduates, senior students, or individuals who are both student and staff will be allowed to participate in administering the entrance exams. The reason is that, it would be impossible to hold such individual(s) responsible for any malpractice that may occur at any center, like we will hold our faculty and staff,” he clarified.
