UL Begins Issuing Student ID Cards

Capitol Hill, June 10, 2026 – The University of Liberia (UL) began issuing student identification cards on Tuesday on its Capitol Hill campus, with the process starting with student leaders.

The Division of Student Affairs said it had processed and served more than 100 student leaders by 2:00 p.m. on June 9 since the exercise began earlier in the day.

Mr. J. David Karpennoh, Assistant Dean for Student Activities and Organization in the Division of Student Affairs, said the quick-service setup will help UL complete the program efficiently. He added that once a student is processed, the ID card is issued in less than two minutes.

“It’s a quick service process. The office has served over 100 people since this morning, and the process is very fast,” he added.

ID card required on campus

After receiving the identification cards, students are required to carry their IDs at all times while on campus and to display them when requested by authorized university personnel.
UL also advised students that replacement of lost ID cards will cost US$10.00.
