UL Closes with Immediate Effect Due to Coronavirus Confirmation
The University of Liberia (UL) hereby informs all its staff, faculty, students and the general public that, as a result of confirmation that coronavirus is in Liberia, both academic and administrative functions/activities are hereby suspended with immediate effect until Monday, March 23, 2020.
The suspension of all activities at the UL comes in the wake of a statement issued by the Ministry of Education (MOE) mandating the immediate closure of schools including institutions of higher learning in the country.
At the same time, UL President Dr Julius S. Nelson has constituted a Special Coronavirus Advisory Team to be headed by Dr. Bernice Dahn, Vice President for Health Sciences, to advise on the implementation of additional measures to contain the spread of Coronavirus.
More details will follow subsequently as additional information regarding the containment of the virus becomes available.
